Treasure Island Resort & Casino Launches State-of-the-Art, Interactive Website
Treasure Island is the first establishment of its kind to use this new technology.
Red Wing, Minn. (April 9, 2007) – Today, Treasure Island Resort & Casino launched an interactive website that gives visitors a glimpse of what they will experience when they visit the property.
The website www.theislandiscallingyou.com provides guests a virtual casino guide who will navigate them through the entire casino. Treasure Island is one of the first casino properties to use this technology in the industry.
The active, 3D imagery and realistic features allow visitors to experience Treasure Island as if they are actually entering different areas of the property such as Parlay Lounge, Poker Room and Hotel Lobby. Each area has a variety of options to explore the selection further, allowing guests to become familiar with Treasure Island before visiting in person.
Bryan Prettyman, Director of Marketing at Treasure Island, believes this site is a unique and exciting way for guests to have an overall view of the property. It adds a level of comfort for new guests and gives additional entertainment options to explore for returning guests. “The first time our guests walk through the door, we want them to feel comfortable and have an enjoyable visit. This site allows them step into the casino and get to know us before leaving home,” states Prettyman.
Should a visitor choose to enter the upscale Parlay Lounge, they will be greeted by two bartenders who offer information about the free, live entertainment; signature cocktails; headlining entertainers and sporting events on the plasma, flat screen televisions. By sliding the cursor over one of the flat screen televisions displayed, visitors are able watch some of Treasure Island’s hilarious, award winning, “Your Odds are Better Here” commercial spots.
When touring the casino floor, visitors can view the Blackjack or Poker Room and the slot machines. Once inside the gaming areas, a visitor is welcomed by a Treasure Island dealer, presented information about tournaments and offered to learn how to play each game. Visitors can even practice playing blackjack, poker and slot machines without gambling real money.
Treasure Island Resort & Casino is the only casino resort in southern Minnesota and the only facility of its kind located on the banks of the Mississippi River. Treasure Island offers guests some of the best gaming, accommodations, food service and nationally known entertainment in the casino industry. Treasure Island features over 2,500 slots, 44 table games, 10-table poker room, and 550-seat high stakes bingo hall all within seven casinos, each with a unique Caribbean theme. Guests can relax in Treasure Island’s luxurious 250-room hotel. Additional guest amenities include a 137-slip marina, 95-site RV-park, a 125-passenger cruise yacht and the largest non-smoking casino areas in the Midwest.
