Activities on the river and rail
While fly and bait fisherman explore creeks and river pools, riverboat enthusiasts can watch paddle boats come up from New Orleans to dock at Red Wing.
Train and architecture buffs will enjoy a visit to the historic train depot – also home to the Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Red Wing is also home to the well-known Cannon Valley Trail, a converted rail line running along the Mississippi River.

The Cannon Valley Trail runs 19.7 miles from Red Wing to Cannon Falls and attracts close to 100,000 users a year. The Trail includes natural and cultural resources, scenic view sheds, rest areas, hiking, biking, inline skating and cross country skiing.
